Simply put, the Annapolis Heritage Society does not function without the time and talents of volunteers. These individuals play a role in everything from accessioning artifacts and event planning to answering genealogy requests and making policy decisions as part of the Board of Directors. Of course there are also countless volunteer jobs which fall somewhere between these categories. On December 2nd at the O'Dell House Museum we will be celebrating the volunteers who give so much to the AHS. Our Volunteer Appreciation Night reception starts at 7pm. If you are an AHS volunteer or someone who is looking to learn about potential volunteer opportunities, I would encourage you to attend.
This collection of photographs shows only a few of the people who allow the AHS to function. Even from this small collection of photographs you can see a great diversity of volunteer tasks. I do wish that I had a few more images of our Genealogy Centre volunteers simply because of the time and dedication that this group give to the organization. I will try to get a few more genealogy action shots next year.
All for now,
